What’s a tandem?
Tandem skydives are the best way to experience a skydive, whether it’s to try it out or as a one off charity jump. From around 13,500ft, securely attached to your instructor, you will freefall until the instructor opens the main parachute. You will spend about 45 seconds in freefall and reach a speed of around 120 miles per hour! You will then help steer the parachute to the landing area, where you can enjoy the view of the area thousands of feet above ground.
What will happen?
When you get to the dropzone, your instructor will explain in detail exactly what will happen, and what you need to do. They will make sure you’re comfortable with everything before proceeding. After this you’ll be given a skydiver’s jump suit, which goes over your clothes, and a tandem parachute harness will be fitted onto you.
You’ll then head onto the aircraft with your instructor and we’ll take you up in the air. This will take around 15 to 20 minutes and then you’ll exit the aircraft experiencing freefall reaching around 120 miles per hour. You can get photographers to join you on your skydive and they shoot both videos and still pictures for you to keep!
One off or for charity…
You can literally do what ever you want. If you just want to do it as a one off, or a taster before getting into the sport, it’s a great way to start! If you want to do it for charity that no problem at all! Just give us a shout and we’ll try and help out wherever possible.
Where do we come in?
We can help you arrange when and where to go for your jump along with running through some of the paperwork with you. We’ll sort out all the boring stuff such as finding transport options so you can just enjoy the experience.
